We offer the Federal Family Education Loan Program in cooperation with First National Bank in Taylorville/Independent Bankers' Bank of Illinois (FNBT/IBB) and the Loan Servicing Center (LSC).

A Federal Stafford Loan (subsidized and unsubsidized) is available to students attending eligible schools on at least a half-time basis. It allows qualifying applicants to borrow up to $2625 per academic year for dependent freshmen ($6625 independent), $3500 per academic year for dependent sophomores ($7500 independent), $5500 per academic year for dependent juniors and seniors ($10500 independent), and $18500 per graduate academic year.

We also offer alternative education loan programs. Parents of dependent undergraduate students may apply for up to the difference between the cost of attendance and financial aid per student per academic year through the Federal Parent Loan Program (PLUS).

To apply, you must first complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available from your high school counselor or any college financial aid office, to see if you qualify for an education loan. If you qualify for a student loan, please complete the borrower section of the Application/Promissory Note. Use IBB, Springfield, IL 62708 as the lender and 831825-0050 for the lender code. Submit the form to your school's financial aid office where your school will complete their section and forward it to Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). (Note: Some schools are now processing information electronically to ISAC and will have you forward your app for processing directly to the LSC at P.O. Box 12229, Killeen, TX 76547. ISAC will issue a Notice of Guarantee and, if they receive the app, forward it for processing to the LSC. After allowing time for processing, you may contact the LSC in Lawrence Kansas with any questions you may have.

Information regarding the status of your application is only available from the LSC. Please contact them directly at the following numbers:
